Arsenal Football Club and official club partner PUMA have unveiled a world first - the Left-Footed evoPOWER Football. 


Story Courtesy of Arsenal Football Club: Designed exclusively for Arsenal, the Left-Footed evoPOWER Football was created to increase the accuracy, power and precision of a left-footed player.



In a game currently dominated by right-footed players and right-footed equipment, the club felt it was crucial to develop kit specifically for their numerous left or two-footed players.

Nadine Kessler was overcome with disbelief when her name was announced as the FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year. The 26-year-old midfielder from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg succeeds her Germany team-mate Nadine Angerer as the winner of the game’s most prestigious individual award.

"I can’t think about anything at the moment and my whole body is tingling. The moment has left me totally overwhelmed and I’ll have to calm down and let it sink in first," the visibly moved Kessler confessed to FIFA.com following the announcement. "It’s a reward for hard work, good performances and a good development track. I know it’s a trophy for individuals, but I’d never have won it without my team-mates."

For the second time in a row and third time overall, Portugal and Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo was crowned as the best player on the planet after an incredible season that included the UEFA Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup for Real Madrid.

Cristiano became the first Portuguese player to achieve the biggest award 3 times in his career, beating fellow nominees Lionel Messi and Manuel Neuer to this year’s award.

Chelsea's Manager, Jose Mourinho Has Been Charged By The FA

Jose Mourinho has been charged by the Football Association for claiming there is a "campaign" to influence referees' decisions against his Chelsea side.

Mourinho made his comments after his side were denied a penalty in the 1-1 draw with Southampton on 28 December.

Referee Anthony Taylor booked Cesc Fabregas for diving after going down in the box under Matt Targett's challenge.

Manchester United Signs Former Barcelona Skipper, Victor Valdes

Below is a statement posted on United's website in regard to signing of Victor Valdes.

Manchester United is delighted to announce that Victor Valdes has signed an 18-month contract with the option to extend for a further year.

Valdes, 32, came through the ranks of the FC Barcelona youth system, making his senior debut in 2002. He went on to win 21 major titles in La Liga. The Spanish international has 20 caps for his national team.

Victor Valdes said: "It is a real honour to sign for Manchester United. I would like to thank Louis van Gaal and the club for allowing me to do my rehabilitation and to train with the team at the Aon Training Complex. From my short time here I can already see this is a very special club. I worked with Louis van Gaal during my time at FC Barcelona and to have the opportunity to work with him here at Manchester United is a dream come true."

Barcelona Suffers Defeat At David Moyes' Real Sociedad : Real Sociedad 1-0 Barcelona

Barcelona’s Jordi Alba own goal in the 2nd minute was enough to award Real Sociedad a 1-0 win over Barcelona in a La Liga match played at Sociedad’s home ground. 

With Real Madrid suffering a 2-1 defeat away at Valencia, Barcelona had a perfect opportunity to go top of Liga BBVA, but that loss now meant that they will be still occupying the number two slot on the table, with just one point behind Real Madrid.
