According to Gor Mahia Secretary General George Bwana they are ready to release the player so long as he gets a good deal.
Bwana however, clarified that the Qatar-based Division Two side - Al
Markhiya FC - has not officially written to Gor Mahia and therefore,
there is no deal yet.
He has informed us of the interest and we have advised him to tell
the club to write to us and then we can begin to negotiate. Gor Mahia
will never stand in the way of a player who wants to further his career.
"Surprisingly we are yet to hear anything from the club though the
player had requested us to allow him to go and agree on terms personal
terms with them.
"As we speak, I don't know whether he is already in Qatar because
like I said we have not officially been approached by the club," Bwana
said.
Salim did not feature when his club beat Karuturi Sports 2-1 on Wednesday raising speculation about his future at Gor Mahia.
