AFC Leopards Vs Gor Mahia - Quick Facts

Quick Facts - By A Kogallo Die hard Fan.

The Mashemeji derby has always been the epitome of Kenyan football, whenever the two sides meet. It said to be one of the finest African club matches and arguably the Best in East and Central Africa and the entire North of Limpopo.

This particular one this weekend is expected to spark the same fireworks. Kenyans will be glued to their television sets and filling the stadium to get a piece of Kenya’s most successful clubs in the history of Kenyan football.

Kogalo fans already have christened this match “Mbuguru Derby” and an event hosted by Piny Owacho “Kuweka kichwa ya paka kwenye mbugru” set up on Facebook. Mbugru is a luo slang of a jerican similar to the infamous one that a cat in Mombasa had its head stuck last week.

Their in-laws from AFC side have been uncharacteristically silent going into this crucial tie that will see either sides walk away with the bragging rights.
