Edwin Lavasta Recalled To Stars’ Squad For Nigerian Game.

Gor Mahia’s top striker Edwin Lavasta has been recalled to the National Team; Harambee Stars squad building up to face Nigeria in a world cup qualifier.

Some local based players were dropped from the training squad. They include George Owino (Defender – Sofapaka) and Ismael Dunga (Striker – Tusker). These two players picked some injuries during training session and have

therefore been given time off to heal and possibly, may be recalled to the squad.

Other local players called up to the squad include:

Eugine Asike – Sofapaka.

Boniface Onyango – Nairobi City Stars.

Andrew Muruga – Karuturi Sports.

No foreign based players have yet been called up. The stars management however do insist that they will only call up those foreign based players who will be able to come and play and not joy riders.
