In one of the reports
appearing on Capital Sports, AFC Leopards Assistant Secretary General, Prof.
Asava Khadima is reported to have confirmed that Tusker FC are chasing after
James Situma’s signature, but have not yet agreed on any terms since AFC Leopards
are yet to release the player whose contract terms ends next year.
He
was quoted to have said that “Yes, Tusker
has approached us, saying they are interested in signing him (Situma) but we
are still weighing their request,”
On the other hand,
Tusker’s CEO, Chrales Obiny, was also reported to have acknowledged that they
had had talks with James Situma, but had to wait for the troubled Leopards to
release him. He even noted that it is Situma who approached them after going
minus any salary from Ingwe since October 2014.
