Former Kenya Premier League side AFC Leopards tactician Jan Koops has joined Western provincial side Mulembe FC.
Koops has signed a one year deal with the club with top priority being qualification to next season's Division One league.
Speaking about the signing Mulembe FC chairman Ssemi Aina said he
remains confident the new coach will help them achieve their lofty
ambitions.
"We respect Koops because of what he did at Leopards and we are
confident the same can be replicated here at Mulembe.
He has the
experience and the players respect him a great deal," Aina told Goal.
Koops expressed delight at the deal and expressed confidence he is up
to the task of helping the new side to achieve their ambitions.
"This is a young club but with very talented players. I want to help
them grow and become big players. They have a lot of potential. They are
unbeaten in the Western Province league and stand a great chance of
gaining promotion to the Division One league.”
