On Wednesday, AFC Leopards lost 1-0 to newcomers KRA in a mid week match played at Kasarani, their second defeat of the season that seemed to have nailed Nandwa's fate.
According to AFC Leopards Timothy Lilumbi, the latest development came after an Executive meeting held on Thursday morning where it was agreed that all members of the technical bench be relieved of their duties apart from goalkeeper trainer Washington Muhanji.

“We have decided to stop the services of head coach James Nandwa, his assistant Mickey Weche and team manager Francis Xavier with immediate effect. The team will head to, Mumias under the guidance of goalkeeper trainer Washington Muhanji who will be in charge as care taker coach for one match.” Lilumbi said.
Nandwa took over at AFC Leopards towards the end of last season after the dismissal of Luc Eymael who was accused of deserting the team.He guided AFC to win the FKF Cup title  but his season in 2014 started on a loose footing managing only two wins from eight matches played so far.
